1. Scope of this notice

LOUGHPOINT LTD, company number NI744495, uses hosting and managed sign-in services to operate LoughPoint. Cookies and similar technologies include local storage and IndexedDB, not just cookie files. Contact legal@loughpoint.com with questions. This notice reflects an application-source review on 15 October 2026.

No advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics integration was found in the active application source. This is not a claim that the hosting or identity providers set no cookies. A browser check of the live site, signed out and signed in, is part of our launch checklist.

2. Application storage identified

loughpoint-theme — first-party local storage used by the theme provider to remember light, dark or device appearance. It has no application-set expiry and remains until changed or cleared in your browser. It is not used by the application for advertising.

loughpoint-calculator-favourites — first-party local storage used by the calculation library to save calculator favourites. The library reads it on opening and writes the current favourites list, including an empty list. It has no application-set expiry and remains until cleared. It is not an uploaded planning dataset.

Planning work — the active project is held in browser memory. Browser recovery is optional: when enabled, it stores a project copy in first-party IndexedDB and remembers the recovery preference on this device. This may include uploaded rows, assumptions, saved scenarios and frozen forecasts. It has no automatic application-set expiry; use the recovery controls or browser site-data settings to remove it. Files you download are separate device files.

A sidebar cookie helper exists in an unused UI component, but no active application imports were found. We have not classified that helper as a cookie currently set by the product.

3. Hosting and sign-in technologies

Signed-in use sets essential lp_access_token and lp_refresh_token cookies on loughpoint.com. These are Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax and expire no later than 24 hours after sign-in; refreshing does not extend that limit. Sign-out clears them and revokes application access for the session. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set security cookies of its own.

The storage listed above is used to keep you signed in, remember preferences you choose and, if you switch it on, keep a recovery copy of your own work. We do not use it for advertising or analytics, and on that basis we do not currently show a cookie banner. We will review this position with our legal adviser before paid launch and will add a consent mechanism before any optional tracking or analytics is introduced.

4. Managing storage

Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect, block or remove cookies, local storage and IndexedDB for loughpoint.com and any separately visited provider domains.

Clearing storage removes local recovery copies and saved preferences and may sign you out. Blocking storage may prevent sign-in or preference saving. Opening the relevant feature again may recreate its preference entry. Theme controls change appearance; they are not an all-cookie opt-out. Clearing browser data does not delete account/support records or exported files.
