Acceptable Use Policy
Practical rules to protect the service, your organisation and other people.
Current service notice: customer online payments are not enabled. These policies describe the present service and will be reviewed before commercial launch.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to all users of LoughPoint, including individuals, organisations and their authorised users. LoughPoint is operated by LOUGHPOINT LTD, registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI744495, with registered office at Forsyth House, Cromac Square, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT2 8LA.
2. Permitted use and data care
Use the tools for lawful planning, learning, forecasting and scenario analysis within the access granted to you. Use only data you own or have permission to use in LoughPoint, including any required approval from your organisation. Do not use information your organisation prohibits you from using in this service. Prefer aggregated or synthetic data and protect exported files appropriately.
Check assumptions and results before relying on them. Do not use a planning output as the sole basis for a significant decision about an identifiable person. Comply with applicable employment, equality, privacy and other laws.
Support messages must not contain passwords, access codes, payment-card details, confidential customer datasets or unnecessary personal or sensitive information. Describe issues with synthetic examples.
3. Prohibited conduct
Do not attempt unauthorised access to another account, impersonate someone, share personal access codes, bypass access restrictions, probe or exploit vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with authentication or billing controls.
Do not introduce malware, deliberately overload the service, send spam or abusive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening or unlawful content, or infringe anyone’s privacy, confidentiality or intellectual-property rights.
Do not scrape or automate access in a way that harms availability, evades controls or infringes rights. Do not misrepresent estimates as verified outcomes or use LoughPoint to facilitate unlawful activity. These restrictions do not override activities protected by applicable law.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Report suspected misuse or a security concern to legal@loughpoint.com with enough detail to locate the issue. Avoid accessing or sending other users’ information, credentials or exploit payloads. Stop testing if it risks harm.
We may investigate and take proportionate steps, including restricting access or removing unlawful support content, where reasonably necessary. We will explain and offer an opportunity to respond where practicable, except where urgent security or legal obligations prevent this. We may preserve evidence or make disclosures where lawful and necessary.
You can challenge a restriction or complain at complaints@loughpoint.com. Enforcement does not remove applicable statutory consumer rights or refund remedies. See our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
